One might think finding worms for a homeschooling science project would be easy, no? It can be though, especially at the end of a hot summer. The earth worms are deep in the ground, doing their thing. So it led to a frustration of a friend who homeschools her children.
We have no lack of worms, in the ground and in our worm bin, due to our land being used for crops. So I invited them over for a field trip.
I helped them find worms, then he transferred them from a nursery tray to the new worm home.
All happy and ready to go to a new home!
Sisters checking out the worms, watching the tunnel down quickly.
They will be studying them for two weeks, and then I encouraged them to build the worms a worm bin at their home.
